Alexander Zverev Settles Assault Case with Ex-Partner
No Admission of Guilt by Tennis Star
Settlement Reached after Physical Abuse Allegations
Berlin, June 7 (Reuters) - German tennis star Alexander Zverev has settled his assault case with his former partner, Brenda Patea. The settlement, reached in the Berlin Tiergarten district court, does not include an admission of guilt by Zverev.
The allegations of physical abuse against Zverev, who is currently ranked number four in the world, were made by Patea in 2021. She claimed that Zverev had repeatedly assaulted her during their relationship.
The settlement comes just ahead of the French Open semi-final, which Zverev is scheduled to play tonight. Both parties have agreed to maintain confidentiality regarding the terms of the settlement.
